Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels Sprouts (halved)
- 2 tbsp Canola Oil
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- ¼ cup Bacon (quarter slices)
- ¼ cup Soy Glaze, see above
- 1 tbsp Scallion (Green Onions), bias cut
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Lightly coat cut Brussels sprouts with 1 Tbsp. oil, and season with salt and pepper.
- Roast in a 400-degree oven 10-15 minutes, or until they begin to look nicely roasted and browned. Brussels sprouts should be slightly soft to the touch, but still firm overall.
- Remove roasted Brussels sprouts from the oven and reserve for serving.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, add the remaining Tbsp. oil to a sauté pan on medium-high heat and add bacon. Sauté until bacon is lightly browned and not crispy. Remove bacon from the pan, but leave the bacon fat and oil in the pan.
- Add roasted Brussels sprouts to the pan, and toss gently. Cook 4–5 minutes until fully cooked through.
- Add bacon and Soy Glaze. Toss and sauté until evenly coated and hot, approx. 30 seconds.
- Place in a warm serving dish and garnish with sliced scallions.
- Garnish with fresh, bias-cut scallion.
