Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients
- 3 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- ⅔ cup butter
- 2 ⅔ cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- ⅔ cup water
- ⅔ cup raisings
- ⅔ cup walnuts (chopped)
Instructions
- Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Beat in pumpkin.
- Add water and dry ingredients alternately.
- Stir in raisins and walnuts.
- Bake in greased loaf two 9 x 5, three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 OR six mini loaf pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes if using large or medium size pans or 50 minutes if using mini pans.
