Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • ⅔ cup butter
  • 2 ⅔ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • ⅔ cup water
  • ⅔ cup raisings
  • ⅔ cup walnuts (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Beat in pumpkin.
  5. Add water and dry ingredients alternately.
  6. Stir in raisins and walnuts.
  7. Bake in greased loaf two 9 x 5, three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 OR six mini loaf pans.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes if using large or medium size pans or 50 minutes if using mini pans.
