Navy Bean Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dry navy beans
  • 2 cups ham (cubed)
  • 2 small onions (chopped)
  • 8 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sort and rinse beans. DO NOT SOAK.
  2. In a large pot, combine 12 cups water and all of the ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender - up to 2 hours.
