
Navy Bean Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb dry navy beans
- 2 cups ham (cubed)
- 2 small onions (chopped)
- 8 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 bay leaf
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Sort and rinse beans. DO NOT SOAK.
- In a large pot, combine 12 cups water and all of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender - up to 2 hours.
