Marble Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • food coloring

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, vanilla and powdered sugar.
  2. Add corn syrup.
  3. Sift flour and salt and add in gradually.
  4. Add 2-3 tablespoons of milk if needed for stiff dough.
  5. Divide into 3 balls.
  6. Leave one plain.
  7. Add 6 drops of red food coloring to one.
  8. Add 6 drops of green food coloring to one.
  9. Mix in well.
  10. Divide each ball in half.
  11. Make about a 6-inch long roll out of each roll (6).
  12. Lay them next to each other and twist them a little. Fold the roll in half.
  13. Stretch out by rolling on counter.
  14. Roll should be about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  15. Refrigerate.
  16. Cut 1/8 inch thick.
  17. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
