Cinnamon Chip Scones
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 8 tsp butter
- 1 cup cinnamon chips
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cut in butter.
- Stir in cinnamon chips.
- Mix buttermilk, egg yolk, and vanilla. Add to dry mixture and stir to combine.
- Knead a few times on floured surface.
- Divide dough in half and form each into a ¾-inch thick circle.
- Cut each circle into 6 or 8 triangles.
- Transfer to baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes at 375 degrees.
